John's career spans four decades

In the sixty's he was lead guitarist in a very successful group called Wishful Thinking boasting a million selling single and album called Hiroshima.

Wishful Thinking with John featured on the film "That'll Be The Day" as the Debonairs. The film starred David Essex, Ringo Starr and Keith Moon. Back up vocals for the entire film were performed by Wishful Thinking.

The seventy's were filled with work as musical director for the New Seekers touring the world with mega stars as Liza Minelli, Andy Williams, Sonny and Cher, Sammy Davis Jnr and the 105 piece Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra plus session work for major acts at that time including Cliff Richard, Cilla Black and Olivia Newton-John. In the eighties John switched to "the other side of the glass" and became chief sound engineer at the famous Lakeside Country Club. Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Glen Campbell and Tom Jones were among hundreds of acts that benefited from John's sound mixing.

John co-wrote and co-produced the song "Come on you reds" on the Manchester United album.

In 1985 he invested in his own recording studio, which paved the way to the success that LAKESIDE STUDIOS enjoys today.

Teresa, daughter to Bob Potter O.B.E. has been in show business since "day one". Providing backing vocals to Lyn Paul (ex New Seekers) on several national tours along with studio session work. Teresa has been responsible for staging shows with major artists and is at the cutting edge of Lakeside Studios, arranging all the recording sessions, booking voice-over artistes, musicians and celebrities for personal appearances.
